About this Position Located within Regional Hub in India, Category Team Member (CTM) will Contribute to ensure supply of the global cross-BU CT spend or regional spend, at best total e2e cost and at optimal terms and conditions whilst also getting the best access to supply base for innovation, at the same time also corroborate his/her team in specific tasks related to the processes in his / her responsibility.What you´ll do
  • Deep packaging expertise across paper, plastics, corrugate, glass, metal, and flexible films, with solid understanding of key manufacturing processes such as molding, extrusion, printing, and converting.
  • Strategic sourcing capability, including RFI/RFP/RFQ management, negotiations, supplier awarding, and development of category strategies.
  • Supplier relationship management, covering performance reviews, risk management, innovation engagement, and contract oversight.
  • Advanced analytical proficiency with Excel (advanced), Power BI, and strong data interpretation and cost-modelling/should-cost analysis skills.
  • Regulatory and sustainability knowledge, including food-contact regulations, FSC, REACH, EPR, recyclability, recycled content, and carbon footprint reduction.
  • Cross-functional collaboration & project leadership, working effectively with R&D, operations, marketing, quality, and finance on projects and change initiatives.
  • Strong behavioral competencies, including communication, negotiation, problem-solving, critical thinking, agility, and familiarity with ERP/eSourcing tools (SAP, Ariba, Coupa, etc.).
What makes you a good fit
  • Minimum 8 years of work experience
  • Desired Education - Any BE - Chemical preferred
  • Deep knowledge of packaging materials: paper, plastics, corrugate, glass, metal, flexible films.
  • Understanding of packaging manufacturing: molding, extrusion, printing, converting.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements: food-contact norms, FSC, REACH, EPR.
  • Strong analytical capability using Excel, Power BI, and data analysis tools.
  • Commercial and financial understanding of cost drivers, indices, and contract management.
  • Experience working with ERP and eSourcing systems (SAP, Ariba, Coupa).
  • Strong communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to work with agility in global, fast-paced environments.
