The role offers an exciting opportunity for a young and motivated professional to build a strong career in retina surgery and medical retina care while working alongside senior specialists in a collaborative and patient-centric environment.The ideal candidate should have a strong academic foundation in ophthalmology, complemented by hands-on fellowship training in retina. A minimum of 2 years of surgical experience is essential, along with exposure to ROP laser procedures, intravitreal injections, and other retina-related laser treatments.Requirements:Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough clinical evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with retinal and vitreoretinal conditions.
  • Perform medical retina procedures including:
  • ROP laser treatments
  • Intravitreal injections (anti-VEGF, steroids, and other agents)
  • Retina lasers (PRP, focal, grid, etc.)
  • Assist and independently perform retina surgeries under the supervision and guidance of senior retina surgeons.
  • Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient management, ensuring optimal outcomes and patient safety.
  • Participate in emergency retina cases as required.
  • Work collaboratively with the ophthalmology team to deliver high-quality care across the department.
  • Engage in patient counseling, education, and management of long-term retinal diseases such as diabetic retinopathy, ARMD, and retinal vein occlusions.
  • Maintain detailed medical records and ensure adherence to clinical protocols and ethical practices.
  • Contribute to academic activities including case discussions, clinical meetings, and training of junior residents and fellows, if required.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest advancements in ophthalmology and retinal sciences.
Key Skills & Competencies
  • Strong foundation in ophthalmology and specialized expertise in retina and medical retina.
  • Proficiency in performing ROP laser, intravitreal injections, and retina lasers.
  • Basic surgical competence with at least 2 years of retina surgical experience.
  • Excellent clinical judgment and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle ophthalmic emergencies efficiently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.

  • Ophthalmologists with 0-4 years of overall post-fellowship experience.
