Role description: Apply technical engineering techniques and methods using international design standards such as UK, European and IEC Electrical Design Codes. Prepare drawing mark-ups, calculations, schedules, technical specification, and other design related documents as assigned by the Project Lead Engineer and Discipline Lead. Conduct internal review and quality checks of engineering drawings and design calculations to ensure compliance with the project's requirements. Prepare and register all relevant documentation and design reports and ensure all documentation is accurate and in compliance with the Arcadis requirements. Apply engineering principles, techniques and methods to design of Electrical design solutions such as Lighting, power distribution, Earthing and Lightning Protection, containment system and lighting control system. Participate in the resolution of technical issues internally and with region office. Liaise with other disciplines within the MEP Project Team, other discipline like architects and civil team for coordination MEP works and ensure all requirements are understood. Liaise with specialist and vendors for coordinating and obtaining all deign inputs for design. Learn and apply BIM Technologies and emerging technology. Role accountabilities: Graduate of Bachelor of Science/Engineering in Electrical Discipline from recognized University. 8 to 12 years of relevant post-graduate experience. Excellent English written and verbal communication skills. Excellent mathematical skills applied in engineering calculations. Organizational skills and proactive approach in project management. Ability to provide solutions to technical problems. Proficient in the application of international design standards: UK (most preferred), Europe, and Middle East. Proficient in the following Electrical engineering design fundamentals: Lighting, power distribution, Earthing and Lightning Protection, containment system and lighting control system. Extensive knowledge and understanding the requirement of LU, network rail, UK Building regulation and BS 7671 regulation. Working Knowledge in AUTOCAD, REVIT or AECOsim and NAVISWORKS will be an added advantage. Proficient in using the following engineering software: Amtech, Furse Strike and lighting calculations like Dialux, Dialux Evo and Relux and other software's like Bluebeam. Knowledgeable in using CIBSE and BSRIA guides. Actively continue to develop personally and technical knowledge and new emerging technology through regular CPD training.
