Introduction Economist Impact combines the rigour of a think-tank with the creativity of a media brand to engage an influential global audience. We partner with corporations, foundations, NGOs and governments across big business themes including sustainability, health and the changing shape of globalisation to catalyse change and enable progress. The Graphic Designer crafts deliverables and produces high quality design assets for a variety of uses: websites, reports, advertorials, email templates, social media graphics, display banners, brand campaigns, data visualisations/charts and presentations. Accountabilities Bring your passion for first class visual design Be comfortable multitasking across different formats at the same time Champion making things look, feel and work beautifully with your projects Create high-level and/or detailed moodboards, storyboards, wireframes, mock-ups, and/or prototypes to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas. Craft a wide variety of production ready digital assets for our websites and research programs Apply brand tone-of-voice, editorial guidelines and visual language to a refined and unique deliverable Collaborate closely across disciplines working with Art Directors, Information designers, producers, content, developers and strategists to deliver production-ready scalable assets Iterate on your designs from early stage prototypes to deployed marketing programs based on feedback from internal reviews, client feedback and user testing Experience, skills and professional attributes Bachelor's degree in digital design, graphic design, or a related field. Proven experience, ideally having worked in a variety of contexts (publishing, in-house, start-up, agency) A proven track record designing effective marketing campaigns, digital products and services across mobile, web, desktop and beyond Your portfolio should demonstrate and articulate a passion for layout, typography and visual hierarchy. It should also help us understand the process that took you to your design solutions and should demonstrate an ability to think across mediums and contexts.
