Key ResponsibilitiesProcess Monitoring and Control:Operate the DCS console to monitor and control process variables such as flow rates, pressures, temperatures, and levels.Analyze real-time data, trend logs, and graphics to maintain all parameters within the operational envelope.Perform routine checks and adjustments to control systems to ensure stable and efficient production.Safety and Emergency Response:Respond immediately to alarms and deviations by implementing established emergency procedures.Initiate timely and safe shutdowns of equipment or the entire plant in case of emergencies, as directed by the Shift Supervisor.Work in strict compliance with all company Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and regulations.Participate in safety drills, risk assessments, and process hazard analyses (HAZOPs).Coordination and Communication:Communicate effectively with field operators to coordinate activities such as equipment startups, shutdowns, and maintenance.Report any process abnormalities, equipment faults, or safety concerns to the Shift Supervisor and concerned departments.Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and quality control teams to troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions.Provide clear and concise handovers to the incoming shift operator.Documentation and Reporting:Maintain accurate and detailed operational records, including log sheets, production data, and incident reports.Prepare and submit routine reports on process performance, production metrics, and material consumption.Document all changes in operational procedures and system configurations.Process Optimization and Improvement:Analyze process data and identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency gains.Assist in the development and revision of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing safety, reliability, and productivity.
