Senior Engineer - Mining (Technical Design)

• Collaborate closely with the global Mining Team to deliver technical design support across various aspects of mine engineering, stability, and mine waste verticals.
• Supervise and lead the development of technical drawings related to mine engineering, stability analysis, and mine waste management, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
• Conduct quality checks on technical drawings, reviewing data, and preparing inputs for reports pertaining to mine engineering and mine waste management projects.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders, including mining leaders and project managers, to ensure alignment with project objectives and client requirements.
• Stay abreast of industry developments, emerging technologies, and best practices in mine engineering and design, integrating new methodologies into project workflows as appropriate.

• Thorough comprehension of mining engineering principles relevant to technical drawing aspects, encompassing mine planning, design, and optimization. Proficiency in providing the geometrical inputs for geotechnical and stability analysis within Mine Engineering & Stability and Mine Waste - Tailings verticals.
• Conduct quality checks on technical drawings, reviewing data, and preparing inputs for reports pertaining to mine engineering and mine waste – Tailings Management Projects.
• Ability to translate conceptual designs into practical engineering solutions while adhering to industry standards and project requirements.
• Capacity to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including geologists, engineers, and project managers, to achieve common objectives and deliver quality outcomes.
• Leadership qualities to provide guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

• Proficiency in Mining and CAD Design Softwares : Demonstrate proficiency in mining and CAD Softwares such as Vulcan, Deswik, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Etc.

• Experience in Mine Planning, Design (Both Underground and Open-pit), and Civil Infrastructure – Technical Drawings.
• Proficient in Mine Engineering and Civil Engineering design software.

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in a similar role within the mining industry, with a proven track record of delivering technical design solutions for mining projects.
• Proficiency in CAD & Mining software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Maptek Vulcan, Deswik) and other relevant technical tools for drafting and design.
• Strong understanding of mine engineering principles, stability analysis, and mine waste management practices.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
