  • Lead teams working on Onboard Services domain by helping them identify solutions to business needs.
  • Mentor and build the team while delivering innovative and efficient solutions for about 40K crew members, caterers, and our customers.
  • Negotiate between multiple projects, business leaders, and technical teams in order to deliver market leading solutions.
  • Determine feasibility and ROI of adopting newer market trends and technologies in the development space, interacting with business and product owners in order to define technical solutions for a better crew member, caterer and customer experience and communicating solutions to varied technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Production issue triage and prevention as needed, release management support from a planning and communication standpoint, and overall backlog maintenance.
  • Recruiting, hiring, and retaining the industry best talent for the team.
  • Build a roadmap and set a team vision in alignment with organizational goals and driving these to successful outcomes.
  • Research and Development of POCs, innovative new ideas for the best crew member experience.
  • Collaborate with the portfolio Directors, General Managers, Managers, Dev teams, Architects & other stakeholders on deliverables for the Crew applications.
  • Drive work using industry leading agile practices.
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications):
  • BS / MS, preferably in a technical or scientific field, with 12 or more years of experience in an Agile environment, or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training.
  • Strong leadership ability with a track record of developing people and achieving challenging objectives.
  • Experience engineering software within an Amazon Web Services (AWS) and RedHat OpenShift cloud infrastructure or other prominent enterprise container orchestration and management platforms like(Kubernetesor EKS (Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service) or GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine) or AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service) or VMWare Tanzu)is required.
  • Experience developing software using Java, SpringBoot, Angular, JavaScript, jQuery, SQL, SpringBatch.
  • Experience developing and deploying RESTful microservices and using Swagger, JSON, Postman
  • Test Driven Development working knowledge (SRE Quality engineering)
  • Airline industry knowledge is a plus.
