Introduction: This role will be responsible to provide quality support to Global File Storage Infrastructure and Technology, possess planning, analytical and problem solving skills to Barclays business areas as a technical team member of the Global Storage Product Team based in our Pune office. The role holder will need to possess a high degree of experience across File Storage Technologies including Dell Isilon/ powerscale, Netapp C-mode along with associated products, NAS/ LAN network connectivity. Skills should encompass architecture, solution design, solution implementation. What will you be doing . Incident, Problem and Change Management related to File Storage Infrastructure and in depth understanding of Dell-EMC Isilon/PowerScale, Netapp C-mode storage technologies and associated products . Knowledge of migration products like DataDobi dobimigrate/ dobiminer, AWS Snowball, AWS Data Sync is an added advantage . Knowledge of monitoring products like InsightIQ, ActiveIQ Unified Manager, CloudIQ, Vipr SRM is an added advantage . Knowledge of unstructured data reporting product like Veritas Data Insight is an added advantage . Provisioning, Decommissioning on various Enterprise and Mid-tier NAS arrays. . File Storage Technology and Infrastructure planning, analytical and problem solving skills . Good understanding of Technology resilience events and should have hands-on experience in it. . Member of a Product Management/ Operations team providing coverage for storage to support escalations off hours (24x7 on call support) and project implementation . Interact with Global Storage team peers to deliver standards defined globally . Lifecycle management on storage estate for file Storage technologies including upgrades, deployments and performance tuning of standard infrastructures . Storage capacity management . Work closely with various platform teams, vendors, and third parties as necessary . In depth understanding of LAN network connectivity, Storage performance, and configuration issues. What we're looking for: As a Senior Storage Engineer, candidate should have extensive and in depth experience in NAS/ File Storage products and technologies. Candidate will be part of Global File Storage Team and will need to work in flexible hours, mainly during UK hours. . Must have working L3 level experience in robust NAS/ File environment . Must have Extensive experience required on File Storage products - Dell Isilon/ Powerscale, Netapp C-mode . Should have working experience on NAS/ File provisioning, decommissioning, migrations and problem troubleshooting. . Should be able to work with different storage vendors in tracking, coordinating & fixing issues. . Should have experience on handling Major Incidents with root cause resolution . Experience in driving and delivering Projects end to end, by working with various platform/ application teams/ business. . Experience on ticketing tools like Service First . Planning, Implementing, documenting and supporting disaster recovery solutions and supporting regular tests. . Should be able to troubleshoot, monitor and fix performance issues (internal or external to File Storage) as necessary . Excellent understanding & working experience on Windows, UNIX OS and LAN Network platforms . Good understanding of AD/LDAP/DC is a must . Excellent knowledge of storage capacity management . In depth understanding and working knowledge of Storage monitoring, reporting and migration products/ solutions . Educated to Bachelor's Degree or above . Certified Storage Professional in any of the industry standard infrastructure storage technologies Skills that will help you in the role: . Working experience of Dell Isilon/ Powerscale and Netapp C-mode technologies is Mandatory . Knowledge of LAN network is a must .
