Managing and maintaining Windows Server environments, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Managing user accounts, permissions, and Active Directory.
Implementing and managing high-availability solutions like failover clustering and load balancing.
Performing system updates, upgrades, and hardware/software migrations.
Troubleshooting system and application issues, and providing technical support to users.
VMware Administration:
Managing and maintaining VMware virtual environments, including ESXi hosts and vCenter servers.
Creating, deploying, and managing virtual machines.
Configuring and troubleshooting networking, storage, and other virtual machine settings.
Monitoring performance, capacity planning, and resource utilization within the virtual environment.
Implementing and managing backup and recovery solutions for virtual machines.
Ensuring security and compliance within the virtualized environment.
Performing regular maintenance tasks such as patch management and upgrades.
Infrastructure Management:
Designing, configuring, and maintaining physical and virtual server environments.
Managing cloud infrastructure, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving issues.
Collaborating with other IT teams to plan and implement new solutions.
Implementing and managing virtualization solutions, including vSphere and vCenter.
Troubleshooting OS & server hardware related issues.
Performance analysis and tuning of VMware infrastructure.
Support and Documentation:
Providing level 2 and level 3 support for VMware-related incidents and service requests.
Escalating unresolved issues to higher-level support personnel.
Documenting procedures, systems configurations, and network layouts.
Maintaining user documentation and providing training.
Monitoring and Reporting:
Monitoring system and application logs, verifying the integrity and availability of hardware, servers, and resources.
Monitoring performance metrics such as latency, throughput, and CPU utilization.
Generating reports and providing insights into infrastructure performance.
Security and Compliance:
Ensuring security and compliance within the virtualized environment by applying security baselines and following PCI recommendations.
Implementing and managing security measures such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and security software.
Performing regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
Other Skills:
Understanding of networking concepts, including DNS, DHCP, and IIS.
Experience with scripting languages like PowerShell.
