
Inventory Technician

- Perform all aspects of inventory management, including shipping, receiving, check-in, check-out, kitting, organization, and scrapping of new and existing items.
- Maintain accurate system of record updates for every transaction.
- Conduct inventory audits (Book-to-Floor, Floor-to-Book), cycle counts, and reconciliation activities to ensure data accuracy.
- Publish weekly inventory health status reports and monthly utilization reports, highlighting unused or obsolete assets for scrapping.
- Become familiar with and follow all safety protocols and operational practices in a computer/server lab, datacenter, or factory setting.
- Educate and train new users on lab inventory policies and processes, including security practices like tailgating prevention.
- Collaborate with the central inventory team to align on best practices, process improvements, and compliance.
- Track and manage temporary or high-value inventory with proper documentation and accountability.
- Prioritize requests based on criticality and management instructions to ensure service-level agreement (SLA) commitments are met.
- Train and mentor new team members to maintain inventory standards and consistency.
- Support a fast-paced, high-pressure datacenter lab environment, ensuring accurate and timely inventory operations.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong working knowledge of ServiceNow or similar inventory management tools.
- Experience handling large-scale inventory with over 100+ daily transactions.
- Solid understanding of inventory audit processes, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Excellent documentation, data entry, and analytical skills.
- Basic technical understanding of computer systems and hardware components.
- Ability to work effectively as a team player in a collaborative environment.
- Hands-on experience with SLA-based ticketing systems for inventory management.
- Willingness to work in a challenging and dynamic datacenter lab environment.
- Ability to work in a physically active environment. which includes:Standing and walking for long hours, Lifting and moving items up to 15 kgs.
- Comfortable working in different shifts including afternoon shift, extended hours, on weekends, and on holidays based on business requirements.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately track, record, and reconcile high-volume inventory transactions.
- Analytical Thinking: Skilled in identifying trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvement through data analysis.
- Technical Aptitude: Basic understanding of computer systems, hardware components, and inventory management tools.
- Collaboration & Communication: Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Time Management & Prioritization: Ability to manage multiple requests, prioritize critical tasks, and meet SLA commitments in a fast-paced environment.
