JobType: full-timeRequirements:We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Governance & Compliance Specialist to join our Human Resources team. This role is critical in ensuring that all HR practices, policies, and procedures are compliant with applicable laws, regulations, and internal standards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in grievance handling, internal and external audits, policy writing, and HR governance frameworks. You will play a key role in building a culture of compliance, transparency, and fairness, while also driving continuous improvement in HR processes.Key ResponsibilitiesGovernance & Compliance
  • Implement and monitor HR governance frameworks to ensure compliance with organizational policies, labor laws, and statutory requirements.
  • Conduct regular reviews of HR processes to identify compliance gaps and recommend corrective actions.
  • Partner with legal and compliance teams to ensure alignment with local and international HR regulations.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices.
Grievance Handling
  • Act as the first point of contact for employee grievances, ensuring they are addressed in a fair, transparent, and timely manner.
  • Develop grievance redressal procedures and ensure adherence across teams.
  • Work with managers and employees to resolve conflicts constructively and prevent escalation.
  • Maintain proper documentation of grievance cases and outcomes for future reference and audit purposes.
Audits & Risk Management
  • Lead and support internal HR audits, reviewing processes such as payroll, employee records, and HR compliance.
  • Collaborate with external auditors during statutory HR audits, ensuring timely submission of required documentation and reports.
  • Identify areas of risk exposure in HR processes and develop action plans to mitigate risks.
  • Ensure all audit recommendations are implemented and tracked effectively.
Policy Development & Implementation
  • Draft, review, and update HR policies to reflect changing laws, organizational needs, and best practices.
  • Ensure that policies are clearly communicated, accessible, and consistently applied across the organization.
  • Partner with business leaders to train employees and managers on HR policies and compliance requirements.
  • Monitor policy effectiveness and make revisions where necessary.
Collaboration & Reporting
  • Work closely with HR business partners, managers, and senior leadership to promote a culture of compliance.
  • Prepare and present reports on HR compliance, grievance trends, and audit findings for senior management.
  • Support HR projects related to process improvement, governance, and policy enhancement.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in HR governance, compliance, or related HR functions.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws, HR compliance requirements, and audit processes.
  • Proven experience in grievance handling, internal/external audits, and policy writing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
  • Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills, with a fair and unbiased approach.
