Job Description Designation: Head of Sales - Luxury Brand Hospitality (Pune) Reporting to: Director Location: Pune Position Overview: The Head of Sales for our luxury 5-star resort in Lonavala is responsible for overseeing key account management, revenue maximization, and market share expansion. This role entails leading a team to drive sales efforts, develop strategic initiatives, and ensure the seamless execution of sales and marketing plans. Additionally, the incumbent will play a pivotal role in promoting the resort for destination weddings, corporate events, and other celebrations. Key Responsibilities Key Account Management: Lead the team in managing key accounts to maximize revenue, achieve personal targets, and increase market share against competitors. New Business Development: Prospect and acquire new accounts within local and assigned geographical markets to expand the resort's client base. Sales Budgeting: Prepare the annual sales budget by analyzing statistics, forecasts, and account productions to ensure revenue targets are met. Strategic Planning: Develop and execute the annual and rolling 3-month sales and marketing action plan in alignment with organizational objectives. Segment Sales Strategy: Define and implement sales strategies for contracted segments as outlined in the sales and marketing plan. Market Monitoring: Keep abreast of local companies and planning authorities to identify and leverage new business opportunities. Industry Engagement: Attend internal meetings, conference calls, trade shows, sales blitzes, and workshops to stay updated on industry trends and best practices. Product Knowledge: Maintain detailed knowledge of all services provided by the hotel and its direct and indirect competitor set. Brand Initiatives: Ensure the hotel's engagement in all brand initiatives, campaigns, and utilization of sales tools for maximum impact. Collaboration: Work closely with global sales offices to develop and implement effective sales activities for the hotel. Team Leadership: Engage and inspire the sales team, ensuring they understand and execute account and segment sales strategies effectively. Team Development: Develop, coach, and mentor the sales and marketing team while managing department costs and roster efficiently. Event Promotion: Promote the resort for destination weddings, corporate events, and other celebrations to maximize revenue opportunities. Job Expectations Educational Requirements: Minimum bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, business administration, or equivalent. Master's degree in sales, marketing, or business administration preferred. Advanced computer knowledge and skills required. Experience Requirements Minimum of 10 years of related experience with progressive management experience. Relevant industry experience is a plus. Excellent motivational and leadership skills to drive team performance.
