Project descriptionDo you have expertise in developing elegant and performant Power BI dashboards and a passion for building scalable, user-friendly applications? We're looking for an experienced dashboard developer with skills in data engineering to join our Sales Transformation team, leading migration of dashboards from Tableau to Power BI, and data pipelines from legacy tooling to strategic cloud-based platforms. Your team You'll be working in the Rates/Credit/GED Engine Room team, focusing on creating the most data-driven, agile, productive, and technology-backed sales force in the industry. We deliver the next generation of tools and analytics to empower both the leadership and sales teams. Helping to view & deliver increased revenues through enhanced decision making and data-driven client engagement at scale.Responsibilities
  • Lead the migration of Tableau to Power BI, optimizing performance, usability, while reducing maintenance overheads, and implementing visualisation best practices
  • Develop and optimize Power BI data models, balancing transformations between DAX, Power Query, and upstream data pipelines to create efficient, scalable solutions
  • Identify feature gaps between Tableau and Power BI, propose practical workarounds, and implement enhancements to meet business needs.
  • Manage Power BI Service, including report publishing, scheduling, and security, to ensure seamless delivery and accessibility.
  • Convert ETL processes from Alteryx to strategic cloud-based alternatives, such as PySpark + Airflow, or DataBricks.
  • Apply digital principles to ensure the quality, security, and reliability of Power BI solutions, meeting both functional and non-functional requirements
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and business teams to understand workflows, gather requirements, and deliver tailored Power BI solutions What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience with Power BI development (including expertise in DAX and Power Query), and a solid foundation in Tableau - experience migrating Tableau to Power BI is a definite bonus.
  • Ability to design elegant dashboards that meet our standards for accuracy, visual design, and performance. You must have an analytical rigour and an eye for detail!
  • Extensive experience developing data pipelines for dashboarding using Python and SQL.
  • Ability to work directly with stakeholders to solve real-world issues such as data access, team dependencies, and complex workflows.

SKILLSMust have
  • Tableau - Essential for interpreting dashboard logic and understanding how charts have been built across our existing suite of dashboards. Power BI & DAX - Advanced - Developing, optimizing, and deploying Power BI dashboards, while ensuring performance and usability.
  • Data Visualisation + Analytics - A solid foundation in business analytics and data visualisation best practices.
  • Alteryx - to assist with re-platforming ETL processes onto strategic cloud platforms.
  • Python / PySpark / SQL - For Scripting and automating ETL processes that power our dashboards.
  • Airflow / Databricks - (some knowledge)- For orchestrating data pipelines on our Azure cloud processing platform.
  • Experience with Managing reports, datasets, and workspaces in Power BI Service, including sharing, scheduling, and security.
  • Experience with data catalogues & data lakes (e.g. unity catalogue, ADLS, etc.)
  • Version control experience.
