- Internal Customer Facing – Work closely with Customer Experience Product Managers to prioritize their products in upcoming PIs.
- Proficient at breaking down respective SDP solution EPIC to SDP Technical Verticals and understand high level impact.
- Execute product vision, strategy and roadmap for SSDP APIs including V2C, B2B and B2C APIs and remote operations.
- Guide extended teams on priority of backlog grooming, while managing & prioritizing flow of work into the product backlog.
- Maintain a product backlog to meet stakeholder needs that is transparent, visible, and well understood.
- Ensure the product backlog reflects the vision and strategy by working closely with Experience Product Managers.
- Support communication of delivery timelines, status, risks, and escalations to the leadership team.
- Coordinate dependencies with other product owners within the software organization and external partners.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders and other influencers who contribute to the definition and ongoing support of the new delivery software platform.
- Use business cases to make the case for new products/technology.
- Contribute to a fresh approach for convergence and APIfication of SDP offboard platform and move towards services rather than Features/Products.
- In-depth knowledge of current service delivery platform capabilities – API specific.
- Consider flexibility, scalability, simplicity, and standardization as core attributes of the platform.
- Provide thought leadership on the platform optimization for multiple Product Lines within SWX.
- Bachelor's Degree Engineering, Information Technology, or other directly related field
- A minimum of 5 years of Product Management experience
- 5+ years of experience in IT related functions
- 5+ years of experience in Connected Vehicle domain
- 2+ years of experience with underlying application program interface methods for systems integrations.
- Technical experience in building API platforms
- Cloud API development
- Knowledge of Python, Javascript
- Thorough understanding of the platform product development organizational model and its vision to drive innovation and Agile development techniques.
- Deep troubleshooting skills and capabilities to lead a triage team across a complex ecosystem with multiple application and service providers in times of critical service interruption
- Knowledge of complex protocols and application performance modeling Knowledge of security methods for vehicle to cloud communications
- Business savvy and technical product manager who can lead complex cross company efforts
- Excel at several core competencies including business acumen, domain knowledge, strategic thinking, analytical and leadership attributes
- Excellent customer intuition – develop innovative product solutions from the ground up based on a deep understanding of customer needs
- Track record of shipping multiple successful products that have moved the needle on key business and customer metrics
- Strong collaboration skills with proven ability to influence senior leaders and quickly earn the trust of teams outside of direct circle of influence
- Strong ownership and bias for action
- Master's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or other directly related field
- Expertise in Connectivity and Connected Services in the automotive space
- Experience working with service-oriented architectures (SOA)
- A software development background with experience in one or more programming languages (i.e., C++, Java, Python)
