- Lead fundraising efforts by identifying and pursuing various sources of capital, including venture capital, private equity, debt financing, and strategic partnerships.
- Develop and maintain relationships with investors, financial institutions, and other stakeholders to secure funding for the company's growth initiatives.
- Evaluate and negotiate financing terms and structures to optimize the company's capital structure and minimize costs.
- IPO Experience (if applicable):
- Lead the company through the IPO process, working closely with legal, accounting, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Develop and execute strategies to prepare the company for public listing, including financial reporting, compliance, and governance requirements.
- Coordinate with external advisors and underwriters to ensure a successful IPO process.
- Understanding of Business & Metrics:
- Provide financial leadership and strategic guidance to the executive team and the board of directors.
- Develop and implement financial plans, budgets, and forecasts aligned with the company's strategic objectives.
- Analyze key financial and operational metrics to identify areas for improvement and drive performance optimization.
- Investor Relations:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for investors, analysts, and other external stakeholders.
- Communicate the company's financial performance, strategy, and key developments to investors through presentations, earnings calls, and meetings.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with the investor community to enhance the company's credibility and valuation.
- Startup Experience:
- Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment, demonstrating agility and adaptability in response to changing priorities and market conditions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive strategic initiatives and achieve business objectives.
- Lead and mentor finance and accounting teams, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Retail Industry Experience:
- Leverage your deep understanding of the retail industry to develop financial strategies and initiatives that drive sustainable growth and profitability.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitive dynamics, and consumer behavior to inform strategic decision-making and market positioning.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- Proven track record of successful fundraising and IPO experience in high-growth companies.
- Strong financial acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex financial concepts into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership ability, with a passion for building and developing high-performing teams.
- Prior experience in the retail industry or related sectors is highly desirable.
