We strive for execution excellence while being direct, humble, collaborative, and inclusive of diverse perspectives.AMD together we advance_THE ROLE:This is a specialized engineering position responsible for Product Engineering program to educate, evangelize and provide technical support for AMD ACAPs (Adaptive Compute Acceleration Platform) which includes AI Engine as well as the associated AMD tools, software drivers, and IP (Intellectual Property). You will work with customers, field engineers, technical marketing, and R&D in a worldwide team to guide, analyze and support complex technical issues. You will be involved with customer discussions around their next generation designs and how best to adapt AMD's AI Engines to their application needs. Join us!THE PERSON:You will provide technical supervision or mentoring to junior engineers and influence others as a subject matter expert.As a Product Development Engineer you will guide customers on architecting their application that includes the AI Engine and support customers on architecting and optimizing their AI Engine algorithms and design. In this high visibility position, your expertise will be necessary to define AI Engine features, tools and flows, develop solutions, assess root causes, and produce solution resolutions. A successful candidate is one who can drive technical decisions independently, has accountability for accuracy, reliability and completeness of assignment results critical to the project’s success. This role allows the opportunity to influence technical decisions that have a significant impact on AI Engine features, tools and flows.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Driving successful adoption of the AMDs AI Engine and Vitis tool flows
Drive the evolution of tools and features related to the AMDs AI Engine flows in Vitis by collaborating with engineering and helping drive tool features
Provide Technical expertise to the field and customers, including creating tutorials, and user guides.
Provide post-sales support, including lab debug, performance analysis, software and hardware programming, and power analysis for high profile customer engagements
Create designs to demonstrate AMD/Xilinx values on silicon, IP targeting the AMDs AI Engine

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

Architecting and designing systems using FPGAs.
Programming and scripting skills around C, C++, Python
Experience with explaining and evangelizing advanced technical systems
Experience in one or more of the following areas:

Multi-core architectures, parallel programming, energy-efficient architecture, and SIMD/ VLIW designs
Signal Processing (SP) applications and/or algorithms good to have.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

Bachelor’s or Master’s in computer engineering or computer science or electrical engineering, or comparable disciplines with a minimum of 5 years experience.
