What you bring to the team Project Location: Hyderabad Job Type: Onsite role Shift: 24/7 6+ years Solaris expertise Hands on experience in support Solaris servers High functioning knowledge of Linux Operating System (RedHat Enterprise Linux) and IBM AIX Expertise working with logical volume managers like native Linux LVM and Veritas VxVM Familiarity with cluster solutions: Veritas Cluster Server (VCS for Linux) and IBM PowerHA (for AIX) Experience with Oracle ASM (storage manager for Oracle Database) and Sybase RAW devices Familiary with scripting BASH, Perl, Python with ability to create scripts to facilitate required tasks Availability to work weekend green zone implementation periods across multiple time zones (NAM, EMEA, APAC) Ability to multi-task working on multiple host/array deliveries in parallel Provide regular communication to management and stakeholders of risks, issues and mitigating actions Liaise with stakeholders to arrange downtime windows and provide information required for Change Management Communicate complex technical issues to business users in a language they understand Expertise in analyzing and resolving issues based on troubleshooting post-migration and after server reboot Understanding of HACMP/PowerHA tools Oracle RAC awareness and understanding at the server OS level Proficiency in use of multipathing software (native RedHat DeviceMapper, native AIX solution, EMC PowerPath, VxDMP), Storage Experience: o Expertise in providing technical System Administration support for block storage data migration activities o Understanding of SAN / fiber channel infrastructure and block storage architecture o High level understanding of storage arrays concepts including RAID, LUN, masking, SAN zoning, HBAs, FC ports, cabling, flash storage o Understanding of SAN block storage services from end user (Application, Production Support, Database) viewpoint o Migration of SAN storage, LUNs replacement.
