- Responsible for managing process control system & PLC modifications/projects in design, specification, execution and qualification in accordance with established change control procedure.
- Develop opportunities for cost reduction through process control or automation improvement, efficiency enhancement, waste reduction and introduction of new and improved processes or equipment.
- Lead/assist validation activities in equipment/systems qualifications (IQ/OQ/PQ), including protocol development, execution and reporting.
- Facilitate CI projects in process control, processing and packaging operations.
- Responsible for administration, control, documentation, maintenance and management of the recipe systems in accordance to change control procedures.
- Assist CAPEX planning and budgeting.
- Interact and align with other disciplines for process development and improvement.
- Working with vendors and internal Subject Matter Experts to ensure the right automation solutions are deployed with the appropriate degree of integration and follow Givaudan standards.
- Liaise with CoE Engineering internal functions as well as IM&S and divisional functions to ensure standards are applied to new projects.
- Support standard Global Program deployment for sites scope.
- Ensure transfer of best practices from local organization to Global CoE Engineering team.
- Support site local team technology migration and integration with Givaudan ecosystem.
- Ensure compliance and enforcement of company, safety, environmental, governmental policies and regulations as they apply.
- Supply technical experience to generate and review new ways of working in support of Operations and IM&S as well to review new and modified EH&S procedures.
- Responsible for content development for training and startup of new equipment where applicable.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field
- Fluent in English
- Other language skills would be an advantage ie: Kannada
- In the area of responsibility, 5+ years in Automation.
- Experience in the Chemical, Pharma or FMCG industry.
- Project Management experience (field) required

- Proven experience in programming Siemens PLCs and HMI systems.
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Profibus, Profinet)
- Knowledge in computer system (Domain/SQL/Visual Studio) & networking.
- Hands-on experience with AVEVA Citect, Siemens, Rockwell SCADA systems.
- Broad automation project management knowledge in regards to user requirements specifications definition, vendor management project execution, commissioning and qualification
- Software: SAP User Level an andvantage
- LEAN/TPM/6 sigma, GAMP Certifications an advantage.
