- Teaching: An associate professor is expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in ECE. They are responsible for developing course material, delivering lectures, designing and grading assignments and exams, and providing academic support to students.
- Research: An associate professor is expected to conduct independent research in ECE and to contribute to the development of the field. This includes writing research papers and articles, presenting at conferences, and obtaining research funding.
- Advising: An associate professor is expected to advise and mentor undergraduate and graduate students in ECE. They are responsible for guiding students through their academic programs, providing career advice, and supervising research projects.
- Service: An associate professor is expected to serve the academic community by participating in departmental and university committees, contributing to academic governance, and providing peer review for research papers and grant proposals.
- Outreach: An associate professor is expected to engage in outreach activities to promote ECE to the wider community. This includes organizing workshops, giving public lectures, and participating in professional organizations and societies.
- Ph.D. in Electronics and Communication Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
- At least 5 years of teaching experience at the undergraduate and graduate levels in a reputable institution.
- Demonstrated research and publication record in electronics and communication engineering or a related field.
- Ability to develop and teach courses in areas such as digital signal processing, wireless communication, embedded systems, VLSI design, microwave engineering, optical communication, and control systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience in mentoring and supervising students in research projects.
- Demonstrated commitment to academic excellence, research, and innovation.
