The Role: The Backend Technical Lead will be responsible for guiding our backend development team through the architecture, development, and scaling of our platforms' backend services. This role involves both hands-on development and leadership responsibilities, including strategy planning, mentoring team members, and collaborating with other departments to ensure project success. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable and efficient backend services. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Guide team members through technical challenges, promoting a culture of learning and growth. Ensure code quality, scalability, and security through best practices and regular code reviews. Manage the backend development lifecycle, including planning, documentation, testing, and deployment. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends that could impact our services and products. Work closely with the DevOps team to ensure seamless deployment and scalability of backend services. Lead by example, contributing to coding tasks and challenges alongside your team. Requirements: 5+ years of backend development experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Strong proficiency in backend languages such as Node.js, Python, Ruby, Go, or .NET. Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and distributed systems. Familiarity with database technologies (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL) and understanding of database design and optimization. Knowledge of cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and experience with scalable infrastructure. Proficiency in containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Solid understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git. Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a track record of mentoring and developing team members.
