- Ensure reliable, safe and efficient operation of all generating units, auxiliaries, and balance of Plant systems.
- Supports head operations in ensuring full compliance with Statutory HSS, environmental and technical requirements from central and state governmental bodies (i.e. CEA, CERC, DSA, SCEI, AP/CPCB, Cybersecurity etc. compliances).
- Supports head operations in issuance and closure of Permit to work (PTW), verification of isolations and LOTO, ensures documentation and PTW process completeness, prior to PTW issuance and closure.
- Supports shift operations in day-to-day routine. Takes role of a shift in-charge/shift engineer as and when required.
- Supports head operations in preparation of generation schedules (day ahead, intraday revisions etc.), and its coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
- Supports head operations for preparation and implementation of Plant operational plans, SoPs etc.
- Inspect Plant systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for repairs. Mitigation of any identified equipment abnormality in coordination with Plant maintenance and service provider team.
- Supports plant maintenance team for scheduled/un-scheduled maintenance works as and when required.
- Effective coordination with SLDC / RLDC, CTU, STU, CEA, SCEI etc. as and when required for day-to-day operations of Plant.
- Delegates and assigns work tasks to assigned shift engineer/technicians to maintain optimum Plant operations.
- Supports head operations in preparation and implementation of complete Plant operations reports and checklists, including daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and checklists.
- Supports shift operations for PPA compliance, DSM management, and settlements.
- Works in line with the approved operations plan to achieve yearly Generation targets (including minimization of APC) and yearly agreed Plant/Machines Availability targets.
- IMS implementation, documentation preparation and updating, pertaining to assigned area.
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the head operations, from time to time
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
- Proven expertise in operations within hydro power generation sector, with a minimum of 10 years of experience.
- Strong knowledge of Statutory and regulatory requirements pertaining to Hydro/PSP Plant.
- Operations experience of large-scale pump storage power Plant is preferred.
- Experience leading a shift team of engineers and technicians for large scale hydro/pump storage power Plant operations.
- Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) for Plant operations and maintenance works.
- Knowledge of analytics tools for performance optimization and risk assessment.
