- Developing and implementing analog and digital circuits from early concept phase to validation in representative tests, including technology research and validation of its applicability, creation of schematics and definition of constraints for PCB layout, definition of verification specifications and execution of verification activities of your designs by simulation and prototype testing, documentation and handover of the developed technologies with subsequent implementation support in product development. Individuate and select PCB components for new design or alternative solutions
- Maintaining awareness of state-of-art technology, as well as ABB products and technologies, identifies and understands technical drivers for R&D projects in own area
- Understanding what creates customer value in own R&D projects and project portfolio of own organization and works to improve operations and increase customer satisfaction according to incoming requests
- Driving root cause analysis and corrective action for issues found during R&D and qualification testing alongside the Development, Quality and Test Engineering Teams
- Developing IP strategy within the area of work
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of work experience in Electrical Engineering
- Sound knowledge in designing digital and analog electronic circuits, circuit diagrams and simulation tools
- Experience in microelectronic component selection and should have knowledge of PCB design tools, such as Altium, Allegro, etc
- Experience with failure investigations, Root Cause and Corrective Action Analysis (RCCA)
- Experience in mentoring team members, excellent documentation skills and the ability to communicate complex concepts
- Strong exposure on identifying technical risks, protecting the intellectual properties and fostering a culture of innovation
