Hybrid Working Structured hybrid role: At Barclays, we offer a hybrid working experience that blends the positives of working alongside colleagues at our onsite locations, together with working from home. We have a structured approach where colleagues work at an onsite location on fixed, 'anchor', days of the week, for a minimum of two days a week or more, as set by the business area (or nearest equivalent if working part-time hours). Introduction: . Support the delivery of the ESG and climate related regulatory disclosures for the group and subsidiaries. . Support data architecture discussions to build strategic data sourcing & reporting solutions for ESG disclosures. . Recommend and implement enhancements and maintain control environment in line with the firm's Standards to ensure robustness of reporting processes and controls. . Partner with Functional teams to develop and drive process automation and improvements. . Provide accurate and insightful input to assist climate-related decision-making processes. What will you be doing . Key specific accountabilities . Support the delivery of regulatory reporting, analysis, sourcing, validation, and control processes for Barclays businesses. . Contribute to enhancement of the Climate Reporting processes, specifically enhancing controls, automating, and contributing to definition and development of ESG Metrics . Establish a strong control environment in the team and enable appropriate escalation. What we're looking for: . Business knowledge: o Regulatory reporting or financial control experience, preferably for both Group and business o Good understanding of financial reporting, accountancy including balance sheet, and analytics o Commercial knowledge of banking industry . Functional knowledge: o Qualified accountant Or Management Postgraduate o Strong university degree/academics . Skills & Competencies: o Highly motivated self-starter o Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills o Ability to work with large unstructured datasets. o Good communication skills, written and interpersonal, and the ability to maintain effective working relationships. o Very comfortable working with systems/data o Well-organised and resilient o Drives to achieve stretch objectives An overall awareness of the Barclays Group strategies, organisational structure, and the key areas with which the jobholder may interface.
