Responsibilities: Roles and Responsibilities- Lead and manage civil engineering activities related to power and energy projects, ensuring timely and quality completion aligned with project objectives and budget.- Coordinate with design teams to review and validate civil drawings, structural designs, and specifications to meet engineering standards and project requirements.- Oversee site execution including foundation work, structural erection, concreting, and finishing works with a focus on safety, quality, and environmental compliance.- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and ensure resources, materials, and manpower are adequately planned and deployed.- Monitor and enforce compliance with statutory regulations, safety norms, and Adani's internal policies to foster a safe and sustainable work environment. - Collaborate closely with procurement, contracts, and vendor management teams to ensure timely availability of materials and services.- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify risks, deviations, and implement corrective action plans to mitigate project delays and cost overruns.- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and site staff, enhancing team capability and knowledge sharing.- Prepare and present comprehensive progress reports, project documentation, and status updates to senior management and stakeholders. - Drive continuous improvement initiatives for construction methodologies and processes to optimize efficiency and quality standards.- Facilitate effective communication between internal departments, external contractors, consultants, and government authorities.- Support commissioning activities and ensure civil works are completed as per final project requirements and quality benchmarks.- Uphold Adani's values of Integrity, Excellence, and Sustainability throughout all project phases, contributing to the company's vision of building a better and cleaner future.Commitment to ethical practices and adherence to company values. - Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and multitasking capability. Technical Skills- Proficiency in civil engineering design software such as AutoCAD, STAAD.Pro, or equivalent. - In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and quality standards. - Familiarity with project management tools like MS Project or Primavera. - Understanding of statutory codes, regulations, and standards applicable to power/energy sector projects. - Competence in interpreting structural drawings, technical specifications, and contract documents. - Ability to conduct site inspections, quality audits, and risk assessments effectively. Non-Negotiable Skills- Strong project management and execution expertise. - Excellent knowledge of civil engineering principles in the power/energy sector. - Commitment to safety and quality compliance.Qualifications: Education Qualification- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university or institution. - Postgraduate qualifications or relevant specialization in project management or construction management will be an added advantage. Experience5-7 years of progressive experience in civil engineering roles specifically within the Power or Energy industry, with proven expertise in project management, site execution, and cross-functional coordination.
