To support the WPB Strategic priorities, the Data & Messaging Value Stream is focused on the following Business and Customer Outcomes: COMMERCIALISE - Maximise the business and customer outcomes from the WPB Data & Messaging platforms. Benefits from data services to grow year on year and deliver $180m hard benefits in total between 2022 and end of 2025. Enable the growth of Communications Hub analytical revenue to $800m from global decisioning capabilities in total between 2022 and end of 2025 SCALE - Scale WPB common data & messaging platforms to the Universal scale and Wealth & International markets. 14 markets. activated with 4 core messaging capabilities (push notifications, in-app messaging, email, decisioning). ENHANCE - Evolve and enhance the strategic data & messaging platforms. Provide resilient and secure data and messaging platforms to support and deliver real-time data services to our customers REDUCE - Reduce the total cost of ownership of the data and messaging platforms in WPB. Reduce the number of data platforms from 167 to 120 by 2024 through consolidation to the strategic solution and reduce the time to market for data and messaging capabilities by 50% against the 2021 baseline The Opportunity: To support the Data & Messaging VS Portfolio Director with the Value Stream Investment Planning (VSIP), Roadmap and capability planning, VS Backlog prioritisation, Cost management and all metrics tracking and reporting around investment, cost/spend, benefits and driving continuous improvement and cost efficiencies in VS delivery. Work with Market and global RB&S stakeholders as well as Value Streams to capture and review demand, develop business cases and lead prioritisation of all demand via the Backlog and in support of the VS delivery process The role will support agile ways of working with all the delivery constructs across VS, such as reporting status, delivery meetings, Jira boards, Controls framework, etc The role will support primarily support at a VS level One of the key measures of this role is timely and quality delivery of work items such as VSIP submissions, Capability roadmaps, Cost and efficiency reporting, tracking benefits, managing VS demand and backlog prioritisation and other governance and planning activities. What you'll do: Principal Accountabilities:Key activities and decision making areas Value Creation Support, coordination and delivery of the Value Stream Investment Plans based on Support the Value Stream front door process for new demand, support the VS WSJF prioritisation process in preparation for the start of the planning increment Support and drive effective Cost management and efficiency program to deliver tangible cost saves across the VS and SVSs Promote and govern the Agile Ways of Working implementation and promote and track continuous improvement across the Data & Messaging VS Support and lead on the preparation of agile ceremonies and PI planning where required Support the OKR and Benefits tracking on a monthly basis to ensure accurate tracking against programme targets as needed Promote the use of Jira/Confluence/Rationale Team Concert, and identifies initiatives to work more efficiently Builds professional relationships and networks with people in or outside the team as part of day-to-day work Works collaboratively across boundaries (e.g. with different teams, geographies, cultures etc.) Report and escalate to management as needed Able to deliver knowledge transfer sessions, and training of changes made to any processes and frameworks to colleagues across the globe Typical Targets and Measures Target Effective management and control of the Value Stream Investment Planning Measure Timely delivery of VSIP investment plans, strategic roadmaps across VS, communication and approval from Markets Target Track and deliver Cost efficiency targets and the continuous improvement (using agile metrics) Measure Track and report on Cost efficiency levers and measure the progress via continuous improvement Agile Dashboard Customers / Stakeholders Build strong relationships, adopting a joined up approach to execute at pace with minimum conflict Stakeholders include, but not limited to the following: Data & Messaging Value Stream and Sub Value Stream Leadership (3 in a box) including Transformation Retail Banking & Strategy CAO Delivery Optimisation and Business Architecture Team VS/SVS Delivery Leads, Technical Platform leads, Engineering leads Market D&A leadership teams in priority markets Risk, Data Management Typical Targets and Measures Target Able to communicate effectively and engage with key stakeholders Measure Positive feedback Leadership & Teamwork Developing relationships with colleagues and business areas within the Enabler Value Stream Be an effective team player through communication, performance management, development plans and reward/recognition practices Able to communicate new process, and ways of working in a clear and simple manner Promote agile ways of working, growth mind-set Constantly seeks opportunities to integrate, simplify and streamline activity through involvement of teams in the geographic and functional matrix.
