The Area Engineer ensures timely execution of all maintenance and project tasks within safety, quality, and schedule requirements.Key Responsibilities:Supervise and coordinate mechanical, piping, electrical, or instrumentation works in the assigned shutdown area.Review and understand job scopes, drawings, and schedules to plan daily work activities.Liaise with planners, supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure smooth workflow and resource availability.Monitor progress, manpower, tools, and materials to meet the shutdown timeline.Ensure compliance with HSE standards and participate in toolbox talks, safety audits, and risk assessments.Report daily progress, issues, and delays to the Shutdown Manager or Project Lead.Participate in troubleshooting and provide quick engineering support to resolve site issues.Coordinate with QA/QC for inspections and ensure documentation is maintained.Ensure proper close-out, punch list clearance, and handover procedures post-completion.Requirements:Qualification: Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering.Experience:Minimum 57 years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas or Industrial shutdown projects.Prior Gulf shutdown experience preferred (especially in Oman or GCC countries).Skills:Strong knowledge of shutdown procedures, safety protocols, and area coordination.Ability to lead teams and coordinate with multi-discipline crews.Good communication and problem-solving skills.Other Details:Working Hours: 1012 hours/day (67 days a week)Accommodation, Food, and Transport: Provided by the companyMedical and Insurance: As per company/GCC regulationsJoining: Immediate or short notice preferred
