Job Profile: Automation EngineerPosition: Automation EngineerQualification- B.E. in Instrumentation & Control Engineering- OR B.E. in Electronics & Communication Engineering- Additional certifications in PLC / SCADA / Industrial Automation will be an added advantage.Experience- 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in industrial automation, PLC programming, and HMI development.Roles and Responsibilities1. PLC & HMI Development- Develop, test, and implement logic programs in various PLC platforms such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Delta, etc.- Design, configure, and troubleshoot HMI applications on platforms like Weintek, Delta, and others.- Modify existing PLC logic and HMI screens as per project requirements.2. Documentation & Manuals- Prepare comprehensive operational manuals, user guides, and technical documentation for equipment in clear and correct English.- Maintain and update software revision history, detailing changes made in machines and projects.3. Communication & Industrial Protocols- Understand and work with industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, TCP/IP, Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP, etc.- Support integration of automated systems with IoT Gateways and assist field engineers/customers during installation or troubleshooting.4. Electrical & Technical Knowledge- Possess basic knowledge of electrical circuits, wiring diagrams, sensors, actuators, and control panels.- Assist in selection of automation components required for projects.5. Quality, Safety & Compliance- Demonstrate a strong commitment to quality standards, ethical work practices, and safety guidelines.- Ensure all automation activities meet company and industry safety norms.6. Collaboration & Support- Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team (Electrical, Mechanical, Service, R&D, etc.).- Provide technical support to Service Engineers, Production, Design, and R&D teams for ongoing projects as well as existing equipment.7. Training & Development- Actively participate in internal and external training programs, workshops, and knowledge-enhancement sessions.- Stay updated with the latest trends in industrial automation, PLC/HMI technologies, and communication protocols.8.
