ResponsibilitiesIntuit is looking for a Director of Product Development, QuickBooks Online -Payroll. We are a start-up within Intuit with the strategy to be an “AI-driven expert platform”. This is about being an open, trusted and easy-to-build-on platform where we and others partners solve the most pressing customer problems and deliver awesome experiences. Our AI-driven expert platform strategy and five Big Bets are driving strong momentum and accelerating innovation across the company. The successful executive will have technical depth, business acumen, and a desire to create delight in every customer experience. S/he will have a passion for driving technical product direction, leading and inspiring cross-functional teams, and influencing executives as well as engineers. The ideal candidate’s experience encompasses technical architecture and/or software development, business strategy, and people management experience. This executive will have an ability to leverage prior success building and re-architecting products and platforms that run at scale. A creative, passionate, enthusiastic and experienced leader who will collaborate with senior leaders, peers and stakeholders, to develop priorities, roadmaps, and deliver products and services with a relentless focus on engineering and operational excellence. Technology Strategy - Define a durable and scalable technology strategy for scaling the platform capabilities for the needs of customers for Intuit’s flagship offerings like QuickBooks Online, Credit Karma and Mailchimp. These capabilities will touch hundreds of millions of current and future customers. Ideally the person should have significant AI/ML expertise and should be able to push the strategy to embrace GenAI to help drive velocity and efficiency.
Boundaryless Collaboration – Able to operate in a complex org structure and collaborating with multiple stakeholders globally. Partner with business and technology teams to prioritize roadmaps, requirements, balancing business needs with financial and technology constraints. Establish alignment of vision, strategy & delivery working with cross functional teams (PM, PD, XD, Care..) and stakeholders including senior leaders across geographies.
Operational & Engineering Excellence - Result oriented and deliver huge outcomes. Sets clear objectives and goals for the team and enables the team to deliver and use operating mechanisms to continually assess progress and improve. Establishes the data driven processes needed to achieve operational & engineering excellence. Foster Engineering excellence culture within the team and across organizations.
People Leadership - Grow and coach engineering talent, acts as a talent magnet to attract, nurture and retain senior talent including Engineering Managers and Architects, and acts as a coach for engineers across the site. Develops and drives strategy to hire, develop and mobilize talent for the organization.
Speed as a Habit – can operate in a fast-moving environment, make quick data driven customer backed decisions and execute fiercely to deliver outcomes.
Customer Obsession – is a staunch advocate for the developers and customers. Stays close to customer problems and solves for them with urgency.
