
Lab Technician

- Assemble, configure, and support hardware platforms including desktops, servers, and test systems in lab environments.
- Install and update operating systems (Windows, Linux, VMware) and associated device drivers.
- Perform BIOS, BMC, CPLD, and firmware flashing for platform validation and bring-up activities.
- Troubleshoot hardware and platform issues, including memory, CPU, storage, and network components.
- Set up test environments including rack installation, cabling, power management, and peripheral integration.
- Collect system logs, conduct functional and stress tests, and assist engineers with validation activities.
- Ensure lab discipline by maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
- Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, issues, and resolutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support platform readiness and deployment schedules
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in platform support, system integration, or hardware lab environments.
- Strong understanding of hardware components (CPU, RAM, storage, motherboard, power supply, etc.).
- Familiarity with BIOS flashing, OS installation, and basic driver troubleshooting.
- Experience with basic diagnostic tools such as multimeters, POST cards, and USB debug tools.
- Working knowledge of networking and system connectivity (DHCP, Static IP, etc.).
- Good communication skills and ability to follow technical instructions
- Experience with lab equipment setup, server platforms, or validation support.
- Knowledge of scripting (Python, Bash) for test automation is a plus.
- Familiarity with inventory tracking and ticketing systems.
- Prior experience in a server or client hardware validation team is an advantage
