This role ensures the development, execution, and continuous improvement of test strategies, plans, automation, and quality standards to support the delivery of high-quality technology solutions. Theincumbentadds value by driving best practices, compliance, and innovation in software testing, while leading and developing a team of test analysts to achieve organizationalobjectives.At CIBC India we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. Details on your work arrangement (including on-site and remote work) will be discussed at the time of your interview.How Youll Succeed (responsibilities):Test Strategy, Planning, and Execution

Develop, publish, manage, and execute test strategies, test plans, test cases, traceability matrices, automation scripts, status reports, defect logs, and exit reports
Identifyand obtain required test data and test environments
Develop, publish, and manage testing estimates and financials

Team Leadership

Manage and lead the testing activities of a workstream, program, or multiple projects/initiatives
Manage and lead a team of test analysts, including capacity management, performance management related to assigned projects/initiatives,productivityand quality of the teams work, and required compliance
Build team and individual capabilities byprovidingdevelopment opportunities such as job shadowing, special projects, and training

Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement

Ensure adherence to QA/QE standards and support the implementation of new standards
Recognize andidentifyareas where policies, processes, procedures, tools/methodologies need to be changed or developed, or can be improvedIdentifyand implement continuous improvements
Track and report QA/QE metrics and KPIs such as velocity, defect slippage, etc
Identify, manage, and implement remediation for any noncompliance items and deviations

Technical and Domain Expertise

Provide technical input and feedback on design, assess impacttotesting, and find QA automation solutions based on the solution being implemented
Identifyand implement automation, AI, or other emerging solutions toexpeditetesting, improve quality, and reduce costs
Apply extensive knowledge of software quality assurance, quality management, and problem-solving methodologies

Experience: 5 to 8 years of experienceWho You Are (skills/qualifications):Must Have Skills:

5-8 years of experience in QA/QE, 1-3 years of experience in development
Automation frameworks, tools, and libraries: Selenium WebDriver, Appium, TestNG, Junit
Programming languages commonly used for automation: Python, Java, JavaScript
Version control systemsfor code management,egGit
Writing and executing automation test cases, custom functions, building object repositories for web and native page elements
Web technologies: HTML, CSS, web services
Basic knowledge of databases and SQL queries
API testing and virtualization
GitHub Copilot or other Gen AI-based tools
Git
Jira, Confluence, and/or other similar Agile, development, and QA tools
Parasoft, Rest API, and/or other API testing and virtualization tools
Perfecto and/or other mobile and browser testing tools
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Problem-solving skills and ability to resolve operational or process issues
Ability toidentifyand implement continuous improvements in testing processes
