- Develop and implement relevant Standard Operating Systems and Procedures -
- Ensure alignment of Plant specific operating Systems and Procedures as aligned to chosen TS 16949 and ISO 14001 standards.
- Function as the Management Representative for these Systems for the Plant
- Set-up Operating Procedures for the Quality Control Lab to support RM, Intermediate and Finished Goods approvals
- Train Lab personnel on Operating ptoceedures
- Drive actions to reduce rejection rates, improve RFT
- Drive actions for fast resolution of Customer Complaints and internal Quality Deviations
- Train Plant personnel on Problem solving tools
- Study and improve Quality Approval speed to support shorter cycle times and debottleneck Plant capacity
- Drive 5S, EHS, Lean and 6-sigma tools to drive improvement
- He must be knowledgeable on customer specific requirement and is expected to work closely and continuously with the Technical, Production and Customer site teams on product quality matters. He should be analytical minded using objective methods to drive Quality consistency in the organization.
- The incumbent must be knowledgeable in using various Problem Solving tools incl. 5Why, 6 Sigma, 8D, Root Cause Analysis, Lean Mfg., 7 QC Tools etc. He must be able to resolve Quality and related problems by proper networking with Customer representatives, Site teams, Technology and Plant personnel.
- The incumbent is expected to develop Capital and Revenue budgets for his function.
- He must be people focused and seek to constantly keep his reports well engaged and motivated.
- This position reports to the Plant Manager. He must have good Communication, Analytical skills; hold leadership qualities with efficient human relations capabilities; performance focused; technically competent;
