Responsibilities:Eide Bailly is looking for an Audit Manager to join our growing India office. This role serves US-based clients (US GAAP) as an assurance and business advisory professional. The Audit Manager performs and/or supervises audits on a regular basis, delegating duties to Associate and Senior Associate level staff, as appropriate. The ideal candidate will demonstrate extensive knowledge of US auditing standards and US accounting principles with the ability to meet time constraints. Additionally, they will coordinate engagement performance between staff in India and staff in the US including client interactions with US clients, as needed.What you’ll be responsible for:
- Performing and supervising audits and staffing engagements for clients in the US (US GAAP) to achieve objectives including staff development, client needs, and engagement profitability.
- Outlining engagement objectives, issues, findings and recommendations in a variety of client situations.
- Reviewing workpapers and financial statements prior to Partner involvement.
- Managing client relationships with integrity by monitoring client needs and building value into professional service.
- Evaluating the costs, benefits and risks of alternative solutions to client problems or needs.
- Providing feedback in order to develop the audit practice.
- Capitalizing on personal and professional experiences in order to develop business and practice lines.
- Supervising and delegating duties to Associate and Senior Associate level staff, as appropriate.
- Providing mentoring and technical training for staff in the audit department.
- Coordinating engagement performance between staff in India and staff in the US including client interactions with US clients, as needed.
- Ensures timely and accurate performance on assigned projects.
- Maintains compliance with project budgets, turnaround times, and deadlines.
- Participating in training seminars and professional development activities.
- Six or more years of audit experience in public accounting post-articleship, working on audits of US based clients in the following industries: Employee Benefit Plans, Commercial, and/or Government industry.
- Valid CA license.
- Ability to work in the Eide Bailly Mumbai office.
- Advanced knowledge of US auditing standards (US GAAS) and US accounting principles (US GAAP).
- Critical and analytical thinking skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and effective presentation skills.
- Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines by setting priorities with work projects.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and clients.
- Proficient with computers, Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
- Ability to mentor and train audit teams to a higher level of proficiency.
- US CPA license.
