Job Title: Database Administrator – Mohali – 4 years+Location: MohaliSummary:We are seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator to ensure the integrity, performance, and security of enterprise databases. This role demands strong expertise in database design, performance tuning, backup & recovery, and cloud database services. Administer, maintain, and secure company databases.
Monitor and optimize database performance using tuning and disk optimization techniques.
Implement data models, database designs, and maintenance scripts.
Resolve database performance, capacity, and replication issues.
Plan and coordinate data migrations between systems.
Manage database backups, recovery procedures, and disaster recovery plans.
Install and test upgrades, patches, and maintain database security.
Automate database processes using scripts (PowerShell/Python/Bash).
Support data warehousing and business intelligence initiatives.
Manage databases in cloud environments (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Google Cloud SQL).

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
5+ years of experience in database administration, IT, or database architecture.
Strong hands-on knowledge of Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
Expertise in SQL, query optimization, backup, and recovery strategies.
Experience in performance monitoring, tuning, replication, and high-availability solutions.
Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Python, or Bash).
Knowledge of disaster recovery, database security, and user management.
Familiarity with data warehousing, BI tools, and cloud-based database services.
