- Ticket Management: Responding to and resolving support tickets submitted through our internal ticketing system.
- Infrastructure Support: Maintaining and supporting our Skyworks on-premises virtual environment, including storage and backup solutions.
- Vendor Collaboration: Engaging with external vendors to troubleshoot and implement solutions for break-fix scenarios.
- Ticket Management: Actively manage and resolve incidents, service requests, and change requests through the corporate ticketing system, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Virtualization Infrastructure: Support and maintain virtualization hardware (Dell servers) and software platforms (VMware) across all Skyworks sites.
- Storage Solutions: Administer and support Skyworks NAS environments, including office-based servers and enterprise storage solutions such as Dell Isilon. In the future, there may be a need to support block storage.
- Backup Systems: Manage and maintain backup software (Veeam) and storage appliances (Dell DataDomain) to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Monitoring & Alert Response: Monitor system alerts and proactively respond to issues, driving them to resolution to maintain system uptime and performance.
- Scripting & Automation: Develop or maintain scripts to automate routine administrative tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- Network Collaboration: Work with network teams to troubleshoot connectivity issues related to virtual environments, storage, or backup systems.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for infrastructure configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience administering Windows systems in enterprise environments.
- Proficiency in managing and maintaining Windows Active Directory.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with a proven ability to collaborate in a team-oriented, results-driven setting.
- Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell or similar languages.
- Familiarity with infrastructure monitoring and alerting tools.
- Experience with patch and configuration management tools such as WSUS, SCCM, Ansible, or similar.
- Solid understanding of security best practices, including system hardening, access control, and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO, CIS).
- Preferred: Experience with Dell enterprise storage systems, including Isilon and DataDomain.
- Nice to Have: Exposure to cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.
