Experience: min 1 to 3 yrs in product designing for Sheetmetal / Plastic components by using Solidworks / Top solid software.
Work location: Vasai East in Mumbai
Preferably From: Automotive / OEM Supplier on fieldJob Responsibilities:
Develop 2D & 3D models of components and assemblies.
Prepare detailed manufacturing drawings with GD&T and Stackup study.
Freeze design as per project timeline.
Prepare and maintain DFMEA and DVP&R.
Support manufacturability review (DFM/DFA).
Develop concepts based on customer requirements.
Perform design modifications based on trial feedback.
Ensure design meets performance and reliability requirements.
Support root cause analysis for design-related issues.
Prepare and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM)
Control drawing revisions and documentation.
Maintain design records and change history.
Implement Engineering Change Notes (ECN).
Coordinate with NPD Production for prototype build feedback, Purchase for material feasibility, Quality for validation & testing and Toolroom for mould/die development.
Support pilot and pre-production builds
Conduct design verification and validation activities.
Support Prototype testing, Functional testing and Reliability testing.
Analyze failures and implement corrective design actions.
Provide inputs for Injection mould design, Sheet metal dies and Fixtures and gauges.
Support tool trials and correction activities.Skills and Key Requirements:
3D CAD Software (SolidWorks / Creo / CATIA / AutoCAD)
GD&T knowledge
DFMEA preparation
Tolerance stack-up analysis
DFM/DFA knowledge
Understanding of Plastic moulded part design, Sheet metal components, Rubber components and Electrical contacts & terminals.
Understanding of IATF 16949 requirements.Personal Characteristics:
