The Architect will be responsible for building scalable, secure, and high-performing Java-based systems, driving technology adoption, and mentoring teams. This role requires collaboration with Product Management, Enterprise Architects, UX, and SMEs to ensure delivery of robust solutions aligned with business goals.Key ResponsibilitiesArchitecture & DesignDefine the overall structure of Java applications, including components, interfaces, and system interactions.Architect and oversee the development of Java-based software systems, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance.Select appropriate Java frameworks, libraries, tools, and technologies for product development.Establish and enforce coding standards, design patterns, and best practices.Prototype innovative solutions to improve software quality and efficiency.Technology Consulting & InnovationAssess existing architecture across Business, Application, Data, and Technology dimensions; identify gaps and recommend solutions.Contribute to technology innovation, research, and proof-of-concepts (POCs).Evangelize adoption of modern architecture paradigms, cloud-native solutions, and reusable assets.Keep abreast with emerging trends and apply them to product development.Project & Delivery SupportPartner with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineering teams to balance technical, business, and customer requirements.Ensure high code quality, performance optimization, and zero critical vulnerabilities in production.Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native deployments.Apply Agile/Scrum methodologies (CSPO/CSM preferred) and Lean principles in delivery.People & Stakeholder ManagementMentor and coach engineering team members, fostering continuous learning.Set OKRs, success metrics, and track team performance.Build positive relationships with product directors, client CTOs, and cross-functional stakeholders.Conduct technical reviews, provide feedback, and guide teams through complex technical challenges.Mandatory Skills12+ years of experience in web application development.4+ years in an Architect role, designing and delivering complex, reliable, and scalable applications.Strong proficiency in Java 21 (or higher), with hands-on experience in building enterprise-grade applications.Expertise in Microservices Architecture and Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).Solid knowledge of software design principles, architectural patterns, and best practices.Experience with CI/CD, DevOps practices, and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes, Mesos).Hands-on expertise with databases: SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL.Strong understanding of security, accessibility, and compliance requirements.Good-to-Have SkillsExperience in end-to-end product development.Exposure to US Healthcare domain (Medicare preferred).Knowledge of identity industry solutions and emerging digital innovation.Certifications in Agile (CSPO/CSM) or Cloud/Architecture specializations.Familiarity with Data Modelling and Data Management strategies (In-Memory, RDBMS, MPP, NoSQL).Soft SkillsStrong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.Ability to mentor, influence, and guide cross-functional teams.Creative problem-solving with decision-making in ambiguous situations.Curiosity to learn and adapt to new domains and technologies.Strong visual communication, documentation, and architectural advocacy skills.Experience Range12+ years overall IT experience with at least 4+ years in an Architect role.Skills:Java Architecture,Microservices Architecture,Cloud Services,HealthcareAbout Company:UST is a global digital transformation solutions provider.
