Job Description The General Accountant will function as key finance partner in supporting benefit and incentive related journals, reconciliations, and trial balance analytics primarily for US and Europe business partners. Annual, quarterly, and monthly reconciliations and analytics will be required to ensure benefit and incentive plan expenses are accurately recorded and reported to management in compliance with GAAP. In addition, the General Accountant will be tasked with communicating guidance for recording pension journals globally, will be responsible for reviewing the quarterly and annual Consolidated Actuarial reports for global pension reconciliation in order to prepare and support required quarterly and annual disclosure reporting. Responsibilities Accurately recorded financial transactions and related financial statements to be used by management, audit, and internal customers to enable business decisions Successful completion and passing of internal and external audits Reduce costs through process automation, streamlining, centralization, and standardization Prepare and review journal entries as required using both internal and external data sources Complete and review balance sheet account reconciliations as assigned Maintain adequate documentation in compliance with internal controls Provide audit support to both internal and external auditors to support audit of related financial statements Proactively identify and facilitate business process improvements Manage deadlines and tasks Qualifications And Skills Required Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. Accounting preferred Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in an environment with multiple entities, both international and domestic Experience with researching and accounting for non-routine, complex accounting concepts Strong familiarity of accounting principles Strong Excel skills External audit experience and/or experience collaborating with external auditors Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment Strong analytical, documentation, and critical thinking skills are essential Proactive professional with excellent problem-solving capabilities and detail oriented Strong interpersonal skills Self-motivated, time management and prioritization skills Excellent discretion, judgment, tact, and diplomacy LOCATION IND, GBS Office Bengaluru FULL TIME/PART TIME Full time Current LS&Co Employees, apply via your Workday account.
