​Responsibilities:
  • Battery and Motor Integration: Integrate batteries and motors into drone platforms while optimizing power efficiency and weight distribution.
  • Avionics and Sensor Integration: Collaborate with avionics engineers to integrate flight control systems, communication systems, and sensors to ensure seamless functionality and data acquisition.
  • Harness Integration: Collaborate with subsystem owners (battery, motor, sensors, avionics, ECUs, etc.) to define interface requirements. Integrate harnesses into vehicle or UAV platforms, ensuring physical fit, proper grounding, and el​ectrical compatibility. Ensure proper segregation of LV/HV, signal/power, and shielded/unshielded lines.
  • Initial Flight Testing: Plan and conduct initial flight tests to validate the performance and stability of integrated drone systems, making necessary adjustments and improvements.
  • Quality Control: Implement and maintain rigorous quality control processes to ensure that integrated drones meet safety and performance standards.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of integration procedures, test results, and design modifications.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, and software developers, to achieve integrated drone solutions that meet project goals.
  • Troubleshooting & solving: Provide timely support to resolve technical issues and ensure systems are operational.
  • Safety: All integration activities should be complied with regulatory requirements and safety standards
  • Cost Management: Operate within defined budgets by identifying and implementing cost-effective solutions without compromising on performance or quality.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive value engineering initiatives and identify opportunities for enhancing existing products through design optimization and best practice development.
  • Testing and Validation: Develop test plans, oversee testing processes, and collaborate with the testing team to validate electrical systems performance and safety. Analyse test results and drive improvements based on findings.
  • Research and Innovation: Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to drone electrical systems. Implement innovative solutions to enhance drone performance and capabilities.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical & Electronics / Aerospace engineering and Mechatronics engineering, or related field.
  • 05 to 08 years of hands-on experience in UAV integration, development, or related roles.
  • Should have basic knowledge on UAV systems, communication protocols, sensors, payloads and control systems.
  • Strong understanding on avionics, embedded system, Electrical harness and flight control systems
  • Extensive experience in airframe assembly and manufacturing processes
  • Knowledge of aerospace quality standards and regulatory requirements (e.g. AS9100D, IPC/WHMA-A-620 etc.)
  • Experience in product testing, validation, and regulatory compliance of DGQA, DGCA & CEMILAC would be an added advantage
  • Knowledge of CAN, RS-422 / 485, Ethernet, and differential cabling routing.
  • Understanding of battery systems, inverters, avionics, or propulsion wiring.
  • Knowledge of EMI / EMC free environment wiring as per MIL-STD-461, DO-160.
  • Wiring practices for aerospace vehicles as per AS50881.
  • Understanding of avionics system integration, Interface Control Document (ICD), various signals of avionics systems, connector / component selection, hardware requirements of avionics systems.
  • understanding of FAA Part 25 / EASA Part 25, Subpart-H (Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems (EWIS).
  • Ability to work independently and cross-functionally under tight project timelines.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking at both component and vehicle levels.
  • Excellent communication skills for cross-team collaboration and supplier interfacing.
Software's:
  • Autocad electrical / BricsCAD electrical / ZWCAD electrical / or any CAD electrical (Mandatory)
  • CREO electrical schematics (Preferred)
  • Windchill PLM: (Preferred) ​
