Job Description:Job Summary:Purchasing(DM/IDM/B2B) is one of most meaningful tasks in supply chain department to support MSOL (P) Operations manufacturing products to satisfy customer demand. We need a capable and energetic leader with open mind and abundant momentum to lead and empower a group of highly motivated Purchase executives of strategic commodities /products/services, collaborating with cross functions groups across MSOL, AP and Global to ensure material availability and inventory with optimized Key Performance Measurements achievement to gain business growth.In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:Material availability, inventory and cost objectives
  • Develop, execute purchasing strategy (DM/IDM/B2B) to ensure material availability along with business objectives of cost reduction, inventory reduction.
  • Lead buyer group to minimize material shortage probability and optimize inventory control, to meet and continuously improve critical metric goals of Total ITO and RAW Inventory
  • To lead team to work with suppliers on continuous improvement of overall performance by collaborating with groups of IPO, SPE, and Global Commodity Manger
  • To lead procurement team to continuously improve work process efficiency, to optimize system purchasing parameters set up, adopt and develop JDE/ Oracle application tools by aligning and collaborating with Global and AP supply chain organization
  • Plan/issue PO to suppliers/coordinate ,Follow-up, or expedite with suppliers to ensure needs are met
  • Provide forecast to suppliers via i-Supplier Portal
  • Send global delivery performance to suppliers and work with non-performing suppliers for improvement
  • Work with suppliers to improve their lead-time to support inventory and customer service objectives
  • Work with suppliers to improve their flexibility to support surge and project orders
  • Review slow moving, excess inventory on a regular interval and take actions to improve
  • Manage purchases to optimize logistic, inventory costs for better cost containment
  • Work with internal stake holders for better planning, purchasing ,coordinating IDM (Capex/services) for best cost optimization and meet delivery schedule as per customer need.
  • Work on B2B process cadence, metrics alignment/strengthening processes in line with AP and drive for continuous improvement with Intraco factories.
  • Negotiate, maintain, monitor and regularly evaluate relationships and contracts with suppliers
  • work closely with Oracle team during oracle implementation for all purchasing processes mapping, identifying gaps and process improvement.
  • Liaising with IPO (International purchasing Office) for all in WAMS business systems (Oracle/JDE/others) purchasing processes/metrics alignment and drive the same at site
Administer commercial policies/procedures, compliance, audits
  • Administer global contracts, agreements, procurement policies and terms/ conditions for purchases
  • Maintain purchasing parameter/std cost/new part set up/new supplier
  • Submit procurement reports (supplier Delivery Performance, cost saving, inventory on hand, etc)
to management and commodity managers
  • Ensure purchases are in compliance with trade import/export, purchasing policies
work on Digitization initiatives with AP DII team to implement DII project for better cost, speed, productivity, accelerate DII deployment to impact material availability, raw inventory optimization and work efficiency improvement.
  • Training of new suppliers for i-Portal

  • to lead development thru approaches of recruitment, training, mentor to make entire team be proficient to meet company strategic business growth.

  • Bachelor's Degree with Minimum 8-12 years of relevant purchasing experience . Technical knowledge and competence in relevant experience, in a manufacturing environment.
  • Preferably with MRP Knowledge
  • Office Software Application Skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Preferable with working knowledge in Lean presentations and project management Techniques
  • Knowledge of ISO Quality System and Working knowledge of Supplier and Process Audits
  • Passionate in team engagement and development, Organization and team skill to lead purchasing
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Comfortable in a dynamic, fast paced, challenging environment.
  • Comfortable functioning in a highly matrixed organization.
  • Excellent communication skills including presentations and negotiation
  • Leadership experience by supervising group of 5+ is preferred
