- Oversee the entire process of preparing and submitting connectivity applications to CTU for renewable energy projects.
- Ensure all necessary documentation, including technical data, system studies, and compliance documents, are complete and accurate.
- Track the progress of applications and address any queries or deficiencies raised by CTU.
- Facilitate communication and coordination between the project developer, CTU, and other relevant agencies (e.g., CEA, MNRE).
- Possess a strong understanding of transmission system planning and operation, including grid codes, standards, and regulations.
- Evaluate the technical feasibility of connecting renewable energy projects to the ISTS (Inter-State Transmission System).
- Conduct or coordinate system studies (e.g., load flow, short circuit, stability) to assess the impact of new generation on the grid.
- Ensure compliance with technical specifications for grid connection equipment and systems.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures related to grid connectivity for renewable energy projects.
- Ensure that all connectivity applications and projects comply with the requirements of the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) and other relevant authorities.
- Advise the project team on regulatory requirements and potential compliance issues.
- Liaise with various stakeholders, including CTU, project developers, transmission licensees, and regulatory bodies.
- Communicate effectively with technical teams, legal teams, and management on connectivity-related matters.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders.
- Manage timelines and milestones for connectivity application processes.
- Track the progress of projects from application to commissioning.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges associated with grid connectivity.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- experience in the power sector, with a focus on transmission planning, grid connectivity, or renewable energy projects.
- Strong knowledge of transmission system operations, grid codes, and regulatory frameworks.
- Familiarity with renewable energy technologies (e.g., solar, wind) and their integration with the grid.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.
- Experience with system studies (e.g., load flow, short circuit) using software like PSS/E or similar tools is desirable.
