While working with us you’ll get to work on complex distributed systems and solve massive scale problems centered on new payment flows, business and data solutions, cyber security, and B2C platforms.The Opportunity:The Middleware Reliability Engineering team is responsible for shared Middleware and Integration infrastructure that supports communication between multiple enterprise applications and business lanes.This role will be responsible for configuration, troubleshooting, Root Cause Analysis, deployment, and continuous operational support and improvement of middleware technologies used at Visa, to make the systems reliable, scalable and fault tolerant.The responsibility includes working with Global systems, Global Operations, and external Integration partners (Merchants and Acquirers) in implementing solutions via current or proposed middleware/devops technologies, including but not limited to Web/App Tier, Caching, Messaging and Integration Technologies. He or she must be able to collaborate with others to manage and rationalize incoming requirements to implement appropriate solutions and provide support.The Work itself:- Monitor Production environments and work with various teams to resolve Mission Critical issues.- Provide expert advice and consultation with regards to Application and Web Server configurations (WebSphere Application Server, Apache, Tomcat, Weblogic) and Messaging solutions (IBM MQ, Rabbit MQ)- Provide level 2 and 3 production support for Middleware components and applications- Lead problem resolution and improvement efforts- Drive constant interaction with application support, developers, and other infrastructure teams.- Enhance Middleware and Integration operating procedures to make a difference on a global or local scale- Automate day to day tasks using Shell Scripts/Python, Ansible, Jenkins, Chef or other DevOps Automation tools.- Handle escalations during IN/UK hoursEssential FunctionsThe Skills You Bring:

**We do not expect that any single candidate would fulfill all these characteristics. For instance, we have awesome team members who are really focused on building scalable systems but didn’t work with payments technology or web applications before joining Visa.This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.QualificationsBasic Qualifications:-
  • 9+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 11+ years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:-
  • Must have worked and supported complex distributed infrastructure in a 24x7 model involving Network, Load Balancers, Middleware, Storage, Databases etc. and should have the ability to drill down issues quickly during the time of business impact.
  • Expert in WebSphere Application Server, IBM HTTP Server, Tomcat, Apache
  • Experience with messaging solutions e.g., IBM MQ or Rabbit MQ.
  • Experience on IBM Integration Bus is a plus.
  • Experience with troubleshooting issues on IBM DataPower.
  • Experience in Monitoring setup using Prometheus and Grafana.
  • Experience in troubleshooting issues and creating Dashboards using Splunk.
  • Good Knowledge on SSL certificate & key management using tools like Java keytool and openssl.
  • Must have the ability to understand ssl key encryption, decryption process.
  • Good understanding on JVM performance tuning and able to analyze thread dumps and heap dumps.
  • Basic to Intermediate level of experience with one of the public clouds (AWS, Azure or GCP)
  • Automation skills using Shell Scripts, Perl, or Python is a must.
  • Good knowledge on setting up CI/CD pipeline using Jenkins.
  • Hands on Experience Kubernetes/Docker.
  • Experience in driving resolution of complex issues working with multiple teams. Ability to represent as a Lane Commander in Priority troubleshooting calls.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to deal with different teams in the organization and external customers.
  • Experience working in Windows and Linux environments.
  • Experience with at least one ticketing tool e.g., ServiceNow, Viper, Jira etc.
  • Should be enthusiastic and have the urge to learn new technologies and accept challenges.
  • Should have ITIL standards exposure with respect to Change, Incident and Problem.
