A Production Manager in the corrugation industry oversees daily manufacturing operations (corrugator, flexo-folder-gluer, die-cutters) to optimize output, quality, and material usage. Key responsibilities include scheduling production, reducing waste, maintaining machinery, ensuring safety compliance, and managing labor to meet customer demands.1. Key Responsibilities

Production Planning: Develop and execute daily, weekly, and monthly schedules to meet customer delivery timelines.
Process Oversight: Manage the complete production cycle, including paper selection, corrugation, slotting, printing, stitching, and finishing.
Cost & Waste Control: Implement measures for wastage reduction and cost control to maintain plant profitability.
Quality Assurance: Monitor production quality to ensure adherence to customer specifications and ISO/TPM standards.
Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance of corrugation machines (e.g., 3-ply/5-ply automated lines) to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
Team Leadership: Supervise and train machine operators and shop-floor workers, ensuring a safe and disciplined work environment.
Inventory Management: Coordinate with purchase and stores departments to ensure availability of raw materials like paper, adhesives, and inks.

2. Required Technical Skills

In-depth Machine Knowledge: Expertise in operating and troubleshooting corrugators, flexo printers, and die-cutters.
Paper Specifications: Strong understanding of paper grades, GSM, and Bursting Factor (BF) for quality box making.
