Inviting applications for the role of Manager, Controls Testing!
In this role, the Manager plays a pivotal role in identifying, analysing, and mitigating risks across the organisation. This position requires a deep understanding of risk management practices, advanced analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex risk concepts to stakeholders. The Manager will work closely with various departments to ensure that risks are properly assessed and managed in line with the organisation's objectives and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Risk Assessment and Controls Evaluation:
o Evaluate the design and effectiveness of existing internal controls and recommend improvements where necessary.
- Control Design and Implementation:
o Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate controls into business processes.
- Monitoring and Testing:
o Develop and execute control testing plans, including scoping, testing, and reporting on findings.
- Training & Mentorship: Provide training and mentorship to junior risk analysts and other team members. Share expertise and knowledge to build the team’s overall risk management capabilities.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as Finance, Legal, Compliance, and Operations, to ensure a comprehensive approach to risk management.
Minimum Qualifications
- Relevant years of experience in Controls Management and Controls Self-Assessment
- In-depth knowledge of risk and controls management frameworks, methodologies, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in risk and controls management software and tools.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills (verbal and written), with the ability to convey complex risk concepts to non-specialist stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in the banking and finance industry
- Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Professional certifications such as Certified Risk Analyst (CRA), Certified Risk Management Professional (CRMP), or equivalent.
- Understanding of at least one the following businesses:
o Transaction Banking
