This initiative aligns with our broader strategy in the petrochemicals, oil & gas, and downstream sectors.The Petrochemicals Business Unit is spearheading the Green PVC project, which entails a substantial investment of INR 26,000 crore. This investment is focused on integrating the acetylene route to facilitate sustainable polyvinyl chloride (PVC) manufacturing. Currently in the execution phase, the project is on track to deliver its first product by June 2026.Job Purpose: The Construction Tank Team Member is responsible for executing site construction activities related to all types of tanks. This includes overseeing fabrication, erection, NDT, testing, and painting processes. The role ensures that all activities comply with approved ITP, method statements, HSE procedures, QCP, and construction codes. By effectively coordinating and supervising these tasks, the Construction Tank Team Member contributes to achieving high-quality construction outcomes, adhering to project schedules, and maintaining safety and compliance standards.Responsibilities:Construction Tank Team Member-PETCHEMSite Operations & Oversight:Achieve high-quality outcomes in tank construction activities such as fabrication, erection, welding, NDT, testing, and painting by coordinating daily site operations according to technical specifications and project requirements.Ensure timely availability of all necessary materials and resources, facilitating efficient execution of tank construction tasks.Project Planning & Coordination:Ensure the prompt delivery of engineering drawings, materials, and project deliverables to support the seamless execution of tank construction activities.Study engineering drawings to ensure accurate job execution and prepare detailed lists of materials, resources, machines, tools, and tackles required for job completion.Generate and manage Material Take-Off (MTO) from engineering drawings to streamline procurement activities.Technical Design Review:Ensure the availability of updated technical documents, including drawings and method statements, at the site, supporting effective execution of construction tasks.Address and resolve discrepancies or issues with technical specifications in coordination with senior team members.Compliance, Quality & Safety Management:Conduct thorough daily inspections of site activities to ensure adherence to ITP, HSE requirements, and material specifications, maintaining high standards of quality and safety.Report deviations and variations in work plans and resource deployment to senior team members, facilitating prompt resolution.Risk & Change Management:Proactively identify and report potential risks or issues during fabrication and erection, working with senior team members to implement appropriate mitigation measures.Commissioning, Handover & Post-construction Support:Assist in preparing and commissioning tanks to meet project requirements for successful handover.Provide support during the handover phase to ensure effective completion and satisfaction with tank construction.Key Stakeholders - InternalSite Planning DepartmentHSE DepartmentQuality Control DepartmentEquipment DepartmentSafety DepartmentMaterial/Store DepartmentContracts DepartmentKey Stakeholders - ExternalContractorsDirect/Indirect LabourQualifications:Educational Qualification:Essential: Diploma / Degree in Mechanical EngineeringWork Experience(Range of years):Minimum experience: 3-7 years experience in execution of various fabrication industryHands-on experience of handling oil & gas project of same kind.Knowledge of Construction Codes, Welding Codes & NDT requirements etc.Experience in handing Tank Fabrication and ErectionExperience of handing Contractors and Vendors
