- Financial research of Global Investment Banks focusing on Business structure, cost reporting, profitability and cost initiatives.
- Build, update and maintain Client Bank Business structure, Cost allocation methodology based on public/ private data sources and client feedback
- Prepare initial Costs estimates across all cost types, products and regions
- Update and review of reported to ‘normalized’ costs reconciliation
- Create data templates for clients based on client’s reporting structure
- Make adjustments to the central Costs model based on client’s product and Costs structure
- Identify Costs drivers for Cost types from public sources, e.g., cost of property in key locations
- Analyze the relationship between Costs drivers and reported/ estimated Cost by checking for a variance between them and reasons for the same
- Create draft presentations for the clients along with team members
- Participate in client calls along with team members and take meeting notes
- Co-ordinate with other research delivery teams in India and & Relationship across geography location for deliverables
- Prior experience of 2 to 4 years in financial research / analytics / FP&A
- Good understanding of cost allocation methodology in Investment Bank is an advantage
- MBA or post graduate degree in finance, business management, statistics, economics or similar analytical fields.
- Professional certifications like CMA, CFA, CA, ICWA etc. would be an added advantage.
- Strong quantitative skills, an analytical mind and an ability to work with significant amounts of data, both numerical and qualitative
- A good understanding of Financial Statements
- Ability to take decisions while working with unstructured data and limited information
- Responsible attitude and ability to complete tasks in a timely manner
- Well-developed interpersonal and active listening skills
- Sound knowledge of global capital markets products preferred
- A strong degree of independence and self-motivation
- Fluency in spoken and written English is essential
- Excellent working skills with MS office tools, especially good at advanced Excel, PowerBI and PowerPoint
- Working knowledge of professional information services like Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters etc preferred
