Roles and ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain applications on IBM Mainframe systems using COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2, and CICS.Analyze business and technical requirements to design and implement robust solutions.Perform code reviews, unit testing, and system integration testing.Maintain existing legacy systems and provide support as needed.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, BA, and Project Managers.Write and maintain technical documentation for system processes and enhancements.Participate in performance tuning and optimization of mainframe applications.Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner.Assist in the migration of legacy systems to modern platforms (optional, depending on project needs).
