The Deputy General Director – Security is a senior leadership role responsible for developing and overseeing security strategies to protect the organization’s people, assets, and operations across India. The role ensures compliance with regulations, manages risk and crisis response, and leads security operations across multiple locations while aligning with business objectives. It also supports business continuity and promotes a strong culture of safety and security.Key Responsibilities & Authorities
- Organize and manage the company’s physical and corporate security systems.
- Protect assets, facilities, personnel, and confidential information.
- Establish and control access, internal security, and protection regimes.
- Prevent, detect, and investigate security breaches and information leaks.
- Coordinate with law enforcement and external security organizations.
- Ensure compliance with security, labor, health & safety, and fire regulations.
- Train and manage security personnel and promote a corporate security culture.
- Provide regular security reporting and recommendations to top management.
- Higher professional education relevant to security, safety, law enforcement, engineering, or management.
- Minimum 8 years of managerial or senior supervisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of corporate security, physical protection, and information security systems.
- Understanding of legal, labor, health & safety, fire safety, and emergency regulations.
- Experience working with confidential information and law enforcement authorities.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and crisis management skills.
- Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Mobility: Must be able to walk and climb to perform duties, including maneuvering within a refinery or plant environment and accessing elevated platforms via ladders and stairwells.
- Communication: Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing, or other communication capabilities, to communicate effectively.
- Focus and Multitasking: Ability to maintain focus and multitask effectively.
- Safety Equipment: Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection, if/where needed in manufacturing environments.
- Personal Mobility and Reflexes: Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, with or without reasonable accommodations, to perform office duties and travel to off-site locations when necessary.
