The role involves maintaining labour records, contractor documentation, and statutory compliance related to labour laws, while ensuring smooth coordination between labour contractors, workers, and site management.The candidate will work closely with the Manager – FA&A (Industrial Relations) to ensure proper labour management and compliance with all statutory requirements at the project site.Key ResponsibilitiesLabour AdministrationMaintain records of labour deployment and attendance for workers engaged through contractors.Monitor daily labour strength and workforce availability at the project site.Assist in coordinating labour requirements with contractors and site management.Industrial Relations SupportSupport the IR Manager in maintaining healthy relations between management, contractors, and labour workforce.Assist in addressing labour grievances and workforce concerns at the site level.Ensure smooth communication between workers, contractors, and site management.Statutory ComplianceMaintain statutory documentation related to labour laws such as:Contract Labour (Regulation & Abolition) ActBuilding and Other Construction Workers (BOCW) ActMinimum Wages ActPayment of Wages ActPF & ESIC complianceEnsure contractors submit required labour licenses, registrations, and compliance documents.Contractor DocumentationVerify and maintain contractor labour records, licenses, and statutory compliance documents.Track validity of contractor registrations and statutory approvals.Maintain updated records for labour contractors working at the project site.Labour Welfare MonitoringMonitor availability of labour welfare facilities at site, including accommodation, sanitation, drinking water, and medical support.Ensure contractors comply with labour welfare requirements and site policies.Documentation & Record KeepingMaintain labour registers, contractor records, and compliance documentation.Prepare documentation required for government inspections and statutory audits.Maintain proper records for labour compliance verification.Government & Inspector CoordinationAssist during visits by labour department officials and statutory inspectors.Ensure required documents and registers are available during inspections.ReportingPrepare reports on labour strength, contractor compliance, and workforce records.Provide updates to the IR Manager regarding labour administration and compliance status.Technical Skills RequiredGood knowledge of Indian labour laws and statutory complianceExperience handling labour documentation and contractor complianceFamiliarity with BOCW, CLRA, PF, ESIC, and wage complianceProficiency in MS Excel and documentation managementPreferred SkillsStrong coordination and interpersonal skillsAbility to manage large construction labour workforce recordsGood documentation and record-keeping practicesAbility to work effectively in construction site environments
