Assistant Finance Manager About Us Founded by IITB'14 Alumnus, backed by Chiratae Ventures, Elevation Capital, Venture Highway in $11M Series-B funding, ShopDeck is growing fast and solving problems in the Indian D2C market by helping e-commerce sellers easily create and scale their online stores and sell D2C (Direct to consumer) profitably. We envision that apart from selling on Marketplaces (AZ/FK etc.), there is a huge potential for existing online sellers to generate sizeable revenues from their own website/app, but are unable to do so due to lack of expertise in website building, digital marketing, and fulfillment logistics. ShopDeck's Software and services model helps fulfill this exact gap. Role And Responsibilities The Assistant Finance Manager will be primarily responsible for: Assisting with supervision, direction, and review of the work of other accounting team members. Managing accounts receivables and accounts payables and maintaining records of vendor relations and statuses. Supervising the reconciliation of bank and credit card accounts on a monthly basis. Performing and managing the monthly and quarterly close processes. Managing payroll budgeting and auditing payroll for accuracy. Ensuring all tax compliance is managed properly. Filing of GST returns, TDS returns, income tax returns. Coordinating and completing annual audits. Ensuring financial records are kept up-to-date with the latest transactions and changes. Outlining the activities a person will perform on a regular basis. Candidate Qualifications The ideal candidate should have: 0-1 years of experience in an MNC / Start-up environment or any reputed organization (Ecommerce). Qualification - Chartered Accountant. Expertise in Excel and Zoho books. Expertise in GST, Income tax, TDS, accounting standards. Ability to handle huge amounts of data. Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations. Well organized with good verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and accounting processes. High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to direct and supervise. Candidates who have prior working experience in an Ecommerce startup are preferable.
