This role is responsible for executing key components of the enterprise compliance framework by partnering with business functions to manage compliance risk and embed risk-aware practices across operations.As part of a centralized 1LOD Compliance team, the Compliance Manager plays a hands-on role in delivering risk assessments, monitoring, training, and control alignment activities that enable effective compliance risk management. This individual should be comfortable operating in a dynamic, matrixed environment and bringing compliance expertise to cross-functional teams.Scope of ResponsibilitiesExecuting compliance program elements including:
- Compliance Risk Assessments (CRAs)
- Monitoring and Testing
- Training and Awareness
- Policies and Procedures
- Compliance Advisory Support
- Supporting control design and validation efforts across the business
- Partnering with 2LOD to ensure alignment on risk management strategies and internal policies
- Providing compliance insight for operational changes and process reviewsKey Responsibilities- Support and execute Compliance Risk Assessments, identifying areas of inherent and residual risk.
- Perform ongoing monitoring and control testing activities in collaboration with operations and risk partners.
- Develop and maintain first-line compliance documentation, including procedures and control descriptions.
- Assist in the design and delivery of compliance training for 1LOD personnel.
- Advise business stakeholders on compliance requirements related to products, processes, and customer interactions.
- Support exam readiness efforts and contribute to the review and implementation of control enhancements.
- Coordinate reporting of compliance metrics and risk insights for governance forums.
- Help ensure consistent application of enterprise compliance policies within 1LOD.Strategic Context: AEMP39 & 1LOD RoleThis role contributes to the successful execution of AEMP39-driven enhancements to the First Line of Defense by:
- Executing frontline responsibilities across the compliance program lifecycle
- Aligning first-line compliance activity with enterprise compliance policy and second-line oversight
- Contributing to risk identification and reporting that supports senior leadership and compliance governance
- Supporting uplifted monitoring, training, and documentation expectations defined in the Compliance Target Operating ModelQualificationsRequired:- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, legal, or a related field
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in compliance, operational risk, or control roles
- Familiarity with U.S. regulatory expectations and internal compliance frameworks
- Strong organizational and execution skills in a cross-functional environmentPreferred:- Compliance or risk certification (e.g., CRCM, CAMS, CCEP)
- Experience in control testing, risk assessments, or procedure development
- Understanding of tech-enabled risk tools and compliance monitoring systemsSkills & Competencies- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
